We curate Taiwanese specialty coffee, and we name everyone who made it.

For the guests of FinTechOn 2026 & the AFA Summit

Welcome to Taiwan.

Our thanks to the Taiwan FinTech Association for the work of building bridges — between regulators and founders, between this island and sixteen economies.

The box in your hands is called Before the Harvest 【在結果前】. It holds six coffees from five Taiwanese farms, each paired with a Taiwanese roaster.

Taiwan is a small island with a long habit of resilience. Fintech and coffee sit at opposite ends of the spectrum here, but they keep the same discipline: the work is done long before the result arrives. A coffee tree is tended for years before it fruits. A roaster spends years on lots nobody has heard of. At the time, none of it is proven.

We named the box for that period — the part nobody applauds yet.

May it keep good company with the teams building what comes next.

Why Taiwanese coffee

Taiwan is one of the world's youngest specialty coffee-producing countries, and one of its smallest. We will never out-produce Brazil or Vietnam, and we are not trying to.

In 2025, at the Cup of Excellence — the competition often called the Oscars of green coffee — Taiwan's lots fetched the highest average auction price of any origin on the platform worldwide, and the platform's highest price for a single lot that year.

That did not come from scale. It came from the same place Taiwan's other export industries came from: a large number of people being unreasonably precise about a very small thing.

Three things make our curation different:

  • Named. We honor each member in coffee community. Every lot is traceable to a named grower, a named farm and a named roaster. We keep the traceability to honor the professionals who brings high quality.
  • Sustainability. Every farm in this box is the guardian for sustainability and environmental friendly.
  • Direct Sourcing. We source directly from the grower, and the roaster is chosen for that specific lot — not the other way round.

A few of the people behind them:

Chen Sheng Le Coffee Estate was a vineyard before it was a coffee farm. Facing the problem of too little shade at low elevation, the owner did not reshape the land — he raised the coffee branches onto the vine trellises already standing there, and let pumpkins grow underneath. The three crops share the same structure.

Hunter Story Studio sits high in the Alishan range, run by Cou hunters who turned a traditional hunting ground into a food forest.

Nita Coffee Estate was founded by a Truku physician who went home. Nita means "ours" in the Truku language — the estate was built with the community, not on top of it.

Zouzhuyuan is run as a laboratory. It is where So'ngna, a native Taiwanese varietal, was developed.

Also in the box — Coffee Blossom Mist 咖啡花香氛噴霧

Built from the scent of pure Geisha blossom in Taiwan's growing regions — the flower that comes before the harvest. Alcohol-free, for rooms and for fabric. Produced in an ISO 22716-certified cosmetics facility.
